Combine the butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs in a bowl. Beat using either a handheld or stand-up mixer until nice and creamy.
Gradually add the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix until all is combined. Should be a creamy texture.
Add the chocolate chips and mix gently on the lowest setting or with a spatula.
Pour the cookie mixture into a clean, seasoned skillet.
Bake at 350° for 23-25 minutes, making sure the cookie doesn't burn. When it is a light golden brown, it should be done.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes or so. Top with your favorite ice cream or a dollop of homemade whipped cream. Enjoy!
