Can Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie Dough Be Frozen?
Yes, it can. That’s the best thing about this. You can make a few batches ahead of time and store them in the freezer. Just soften the dough in the fridge for about 15 minutes. It needs to be slightly firm but not rock solid. Form the dough into discs and wrap in plastic wrap. Place them either in beeswax paper or a ziplock bag. Be sure and write the date on the bag. Will store in the freezer for 2 months.
When you are ready to bake them, take the dough out of the freezer and let thaw. Form it up in the cast iron skillet and bake according to the directions.
