I love Springtime! The birdies are singing, the garden is growing and I love the fresh and clean home that Spring brings.

If you know me well, you know I’m a Fall girl but there is just something about the crispness in the air. It’s like everything is waking up from a long winter’s nap. The older I become, the more I love just enjoying and soaking in as the seasons change.

I hope you are seeing signs of Spring too! Happy March folks! 🌿🍓🌼

Happy March Friends! This means that it pretty much is springtime now, right! The birdies are singing all over and look at some of our fruit trees.

The plum tree (1st/2nd slide) is loaded with blossoms. The 3rd pic - look close to see a tiny peach but see how pretty those pink blossoms are! The last video is our pear tree. I can’t wait to see how much fruit we will harvest from all of them.

Sadly, I think I lost my cherry, grapefruit, avocado and maybe my lemon trees (along with my jasmine in front of the garden) during our winter freezes 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m holding off for a few weeks to see what happens.

It’s time for Spring planting. I love my greenhouse we bought a few years ago. Sadly, I paid way more than the one I found online 🤦🏼‍♀️. I use this all year long, even living here in the South. This greenhouse has even gone through a few hurricanes and it’s still standing haha.

I’m starting to add Spring🌷decor throughout our home. We are so blessed to have such beautiful weather this time of year. I love Springtime here in the south and how seasons come and go. I do think we’ll still have some cold weather here over the next month but I went ahead and packed up all my winter greenery and wreaths. Are you still having snow or feeling some warmer weather?

It takes less time to make your own flaky pie doug

It takes less time to make your own flaky pie dough than it does to get in your vehicle, drive to the store and buy the processed pie crusts. Fresh-milled flour is packed with nutrition and makes a great base for a meal or dessert.

This flaky pie dough recipe makes 2 crusts. It takes 5 minutes to make them. Make them in small bulk batches and pop them in the freezer. They’ll last for 2-3 months. That way you aren’t always in the kitchen making them. Why do I need pie dough, you ask? Think chicken pot pie, fruit hand pies, galettes, pop tarts, apple pie or any other pie, really. These can feed a good size crowd. I grew up in the time watching neighbors stop by for coffee and a slice of pie with my grandma’s/aunts/mom. Let’s live like that again. 🥧

It’s Strawberry 🍓 season here in the South. I went

It’s Strawberry 🍓 season here in the South. I went pickin’ recently and what better thing to do than make this Strawberry Vanilla Jam. Fresh picked Strawberries, Real Maple Syrup and notes of Madagascar Vanilla. The flavors are delicious! This jam is great on homemade buttermilk biscuits, oatmeal or even ice cream. I like it on a spoon just out of the jar!
