In my efforts to remove chemicals from my diet and body, I’m also removing all the toxins that I cook and bake with such as pans, pots, utensils, and equipment in my kitchen. I found some amazing non-toxic ceramic cookware that I can’t wait to share with you.

Why Ceramic?
This new cookware I have found recently is not ceramic coated. It is 100% ceramic. Inspired by the trusted ancient art of ceramic, their process is simple–they fuse fine porcelain with raw clay and fire at over two thousand degrees to sculpt the purest of cooking surfaces.
NO HARMFUL RESIDUES OR LEACHING
Conventional non-stick coatings can reveal harmful metals into the natural flavors of your food, altering the dish and how it nourishes your body.
SMOOTH, EVEN COOKING
Natural thermal properties allow our ceramic to retain heat without need for high cooking temperatures.
100% PURE CERAMIC
No metal core. No nonstick coating. Only pure ceramic for truly-non-toxic, reliable cookware.

The Warranty
Xtrema cookware has a 10-year guarantee. I’ve never heard of anything like this before. They also have something else that really stood out to me:
Forever Replacement Program
“At xtrema, we are committed to providing you with exceptional quality pure ceramic cookware, bakeware, and tea kettles that stand the test of time. We understand that accidents can happen, which is why we offer our forever replacement program to ensure your satisfaction and the longevity of your xtrema products.”
I love how they stand behind their products. When a company has integrity like Xtrema, it just gives the customer such a relief that they truly care about the products they are selling.
Family Owned
This one is another huge one for me. The fact that they are family owned (still are and haven’t sold), not just a husband and wife, but also a large family. After looking over their products on the website, I came across a few videos that just hit me. I feel like I could sit down and have a meal with this family. Seriously, I can’t believe I’m just finding out about Xtrema but I can’t wait to add to my collection of what I have so far. Cooking and eating meals should be shared with your family and friends. The quality of the food that is prepared at home out-ways anything that you will find at a restaurant or drive-thru. Gathering around the table should be a staple for every family.
My Favorite Pieces
If you have been here for a while, you know I do a lot of bread baking and love dutch ovens. I also am a firm believer that every household needs a good skillet (or 2 haha). They offer their Signature Skillet Set which has 3 different sizes. The Founder’s Classic Collection is also a great place to start. Here’s what I’m starting out with:
Signature Skillet
The signature skillet I have is 11 inches and is so light weight compared to some of the cast iron ones I have owned. It’s perfect for browning ground beef for taco night or toasting pecans as I did recently. This particular skillet comes in two other sizes, 7 and 9 inches.
Classic Oval Dutch Oven
As I stated above, I love a good dutch oven. This classic oval dutch oven is a 7.5 quart. I love the shape. It can fit a large loaf of sourdough bread and it’s perfect for a roast and soup season.
Loaf Pan
This loaf pan is wonderful. It makes a 2 quart loaf allowing you to make a meatloaf for a larger gathering or a pumpkin pecan bread to share with neighbors. It measures slightly larger than a traditional 9×5 loaf pan. This is why I love this one from Xtrema. It is 11.5 x 6.8 x 3.

Use and Care of Ceramic Cookware
Use
COOKWARE: For peak performance, use low to medium heat with Xtrema sauté pans, saucepans, and Dutch ovens. Apply cooking oil for a naturally non-stick surface, and choose wooden or silicone utensils to preserve their appearance.
Xtrema effortlessly moves from stovetop to oven, microwave, grill, and broiler. Prior to use, thaw frozen food to avoid sudden temperature changes that may affect pan integrity.
BAKEWARE: You may need to adjust baking times as needed for optimal results considering the thickness of our all-ceramic products. If you prefer not to use parchment paper, create a naturally non-stick surface by applying oil and fats to the surfaces. All bakeware is compatible for oven, stovetop, and grill use if you choose to explore beyond the oven.
TEAWARE: Use a medium setting to heat up your tea kettle, and unlike metal kettles, ours won’t whistle when ready. instead, watch for the telltale steam to signal the perfect temperature. With our all-ceramic material, enjoy long-lasting heat retention, allowing you to savor a warm cup of tea or coffee all day long.
Care
Use soap and hot water to clean your cookware. If you have a little stuck on food after cooking, use a gentle scouring pad and it should come right off. A light soaking or boiling of water can be used as well to get off stickier food.
- Allow the pan to completely cool.
- Scrub with warm water and dish soap. Use a non-metal brush or pad, if needed.
- Rinse
- Scrub harder with dry baking soda for stuck on foods.
- Rinse and dry.
I hope you find a set you like or start a collection of non-toxic ceramic cookware. Please share this post over on Pinterest and tag me on Instagram. I’d love to see what ones you end up using in your kitchen. Remember, let’s get back to gathering around the table like we used to.
