Sourdough starter someone gave me? 🤦🏼‍♀️ That was years ago. I was super busy raising my kiddos, working and doing all the things. I didn’t make the time and I felt horrible about it. 😩

Five years ago, I made a commitment to myself to create my own starter and well, here we are....
.
Once your starter is established, you don’t need all the measurements anymore. You’ll find your groove and know what the consistency should look like. Don’t be afraid to feed your Sourdough starter sweet friend. We have to start somewhere.
.
Maybe it’s not your season (like it was for me) for bread making right now and that’s ok. Pick it up when the time is right for you and you know you are committed to it. It is like having an additional child in the home as you do have to feed it haha.

These two….Duke couldn’t stand her when she came in the house. Then, he realized she wasn’t leaving 🥴.

Now, they play a little bit. Duke will be 12 this year and he saw he wasn’t daddy’s little buddy anymore😩. Bill still gives Duke attention but Dakota definitely gets most of the attention now. If we don’t , I told Bill we may not have a home to come home to one day😂. German Shorthaired Pointers require 24/7 supervision. Full of energy, all day long! On the other hand, they are one of the most loving breeds. Like, they require you to hold them and snuggle with them. ❤️

On another note, I am so thankful that I have this tub on those exhausting days . I get to soak and relax (unless the dogs bust through the door to come find me 😂).

My tub is so nostalgia looking. One of my favorite must haves when we were building a few years ago. (I use it several times a week)

Happy April Friends! I have a yummy treat I’m sharing with you today. No jokin’ either. 😉

One of my favorite candies as a kid was those darn @reeses peanut butter eggs. We would start eating them as soon as they hit the shelves! 😂
.
Well, once I found out what the ingredient list 🤦🏼‍♀️ was, I stopped eating them. This recipe has 4 simple ingredients. They are so stinkin’ easy to make and you can pronounce the ingredients.

Did you grow up on your mom fixing these Classic Stuffed Shells? It sure was a treat for me as a kid and now I make them for my family.
.
They are the perfect Italian meal to make for a crowd and they freeze well. Grab the recipe below.

Stuffed Shells Recipe

Ingredients:

Sauce (Either Marina or Meat)
• 48 oz Marina or Meat Sauce
• 2-3 cloves Roasted Garlic (Optional)
Pasta
• 1 box Jumbo Shells
Filling
• 48 oz Ricotta Cheese
• 16 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
• 1 tbsp (each) Italian Seasoning (Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme)

Instructions:
1. Fill a stock pot with water. Place the shells in the pot and bring to a boil. I like to add a little bit of salt and olive oil.
2. Bring the water to a boil and continue to stir while cooking.
3. Once the shells are done cooking, lay them flat on parchment paper or paper towels and allow the water to drain.
4. While the shells are drying, start your meat sauce (if not using canned). I like to add in roasted garlic at this step.
5. Once your sauce is all ready, spread a nice layer on the bottom of your dish (a 9x13 or a sturdy foil pan if you are taking this to someone. Makes for easy clean up).
6. Prepare your filling mixture.
7. Using an over large spoon (bigger than a tablespoon), fill each shell with the mixture. Place the shells on top of the sauce and layer the shells (on top of each other, if needed).
8. Once the shells are in the pan, add a layer of the sauce on top.
9. Next, top it with the mozarella cheese.
10. Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes. The cheese should be nice and bubbly.
