I grew up cranking the handle on the old-fashioned ice cream makers as a kid. It is one of my fondest memories in the Summer when we would get together with our cousins.

This Homemade Butter Maple Pecan Ice Cream 🍨 blends the rich nutty flavor of toasted pecans mixed with a caramel-like sweetness from the maple syrup.

It’s the perfect treat at a Summer BBQ or for a 4th of July 🇺🇸 gathering.

First of all, if you don’t have your American 🇺🇸 flag bunting already hanging outside, then what are you even doing? Have no fear, there is still time to get your porch decorated for the 🇺🇸 4th of July. Mine stay up all Summer long. 😍

My first tip: Don’t put screws, nails or cup hooks under your porch ceiling. You can possibly damage the material over time + you’ll have to look at them hanging the rest of the year 😜. Use command strips instead. They are easy to install/remove and very strong.

What does Summer mean to you?

Maybe it’s BBQ’s every weekend, gathering with friends and family or going to state parks for a picnic. Maybe it’s vacationing somewhere you’ve never been before or just staying home and relaxing in your garden and doing chores.

Whatever is means, I hope you embrace this new season. I tend to relax more in the Summer. The longer days mean I’m outside until the mosquitoes start eating me up haha. It also means I’m hitting small towns and the back roads, whether it’s planned or a spur of the moment trip. Happy Summer friends! 🌻🇺🇸
