Decorating each of the rooms in our home is something I love to do . I found an inexpensive way to add charm to any room and I’m excited to share this with you. I recently went to a baby shower and I found these prints that made the perfect gift.

For this post, I am talking about these prints I bought, printed locally and framed them myself. The little baby boy’s room was going to be decorated in a mallard duck theme. If you think about it, you can do this for any style or theme. Now that I found these cute prints, I’m going to start doing more for my own home. Wall Art can add an extra layer of charm, coziness and that cottage home feel.
Pick Your Style
Before we begin discussing where and how to do this, let’s start brainstorming on the style of the room. Here are some examples:
- Baby Girl’s Room – vintage ducks, goose and bunnies, Winnie the Pooh, Disney, etc.
- Baby Boy’s Room – hunting, ducks, Cars movie, HarryPotter, Teddy Bears, Nautical, etc.
- Home – Farmhouse, Coastal, Bathroom, Western, Landscape, Botanical, etc.

Where to Get the Prints
I searched and searched for prints that looked like they were hand painted. I didn’t want something that everyone else had so I finally found some that were perfect for a little baby boy’s nursery.
The place I found my prints from has all kinds of other styles and themes. Check them out here. They have close to 400 designs. I paid $4.00 for each digital print.
How to Assemble the Prints
You just need a few supplies and you’ll have professional framed pieces of artwork for half the price you’d find at a store.
I used a paper cutter (similar to mine) as my prints were 8 1/2×11 and the frames were 8×10. The cutter makes sure the cuts are straight.
Cost Breakdown
I printed my artwork online at Office Depot and just picked them up at the store. The “Flyer” option was the look I was going for in a “Premium Matte” finish. I paid $1.00 for each print. I then ordered these walnut wood frames in a pack of 3 (they have other colors to choose from). Those were $50.39 for the set. So, each framed artwork cost me $21.80 instead of paying $40+ at a store. The price can also go down depending on the style and size of frame you choose.
Vintage Baby Girl Nursery
Check out how this adorable nursery turned out for my grand daughter. My daughter-in-law had such a great vision. Wait until you see her artwork!

Assembly
Once you get your prints cut according to your frame size, just open the back of the frame and slide the print in. If you choose to not use the mat (if the frame came with one), hold onto it and save them for another use.

These Are Great For Gifts
If you are going to a baby or bridal shower, these handmade beautiful pieces of art work would make such a special gift. They would even make a great housewarming gift.
I wrapped up all three frames and added them with a few other things that were duck themed I bought for the baby. Here’s what I added for that cute little munchkin.
