We’ve lived in our new home now for 4 years and it took us that long to do something on this wall 🤦🏼‍♀️. Our ceilings are really high in here so we needed a tall piece. What do you think?

I’ve been waiting on this beautiful built in library cabinet that just arrived. I wasn’t sure if I would have room to put the tree here in our normal place or not haha (priorities, right?). My amazing carpenter (who’s also like a son to me) nailed it again.

P.S. I’ve had some family ask me if we are “skipping Christmas” this year 🤣. Absolutely not! The entire home is decorated and stay tuned for the tree too. 🎄

Start a collection of things that bring joy and happiness to you. Forget trends, do something nostalgic. I have a collection of ceramic houses (one that was my grandma’s) that I usually set up around the tree but I started collecting this paper barn, house and church several years ago. I added these cute little barns and houses this year and they all sit right on this old bench. I also can’t forget my old rugged cross. Just add some bottle brush trees as fillers. I might add some fresh greenery, what do you think?

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with whoever you shared the day with. Holidays can be sad when loved ones have gone before us. We all lose people in our life. I make it a point to create the memory/tradition and not worry about if something doesn’t go right on a holiday.

We had a houseful today with both friends and family - great food, desserts and hanging out with those that we love. Our bellies and hearts are full. I have to brag on my daughter a bit. She has been smoking our turkey 🦃 the last several years and boy, it is the best I have ever had. Here’s a little glimpse of our day. All the kids tossed my porch pumpkins to the cows. A tradition I started on Thanksgiving when we moved here. It was also extra special getting to spend it with my nieces and nephew. We also had a young man that is from Texas but now lives here in Florida. Very polite. I hope he felt the love of a family today. 🧡

Let’s make a last-minute Thanksgiving garland. This was so much fun to make and you probably already have all the supplies that you’ll need.

I used air-dry clay, some cookie cutters, paint, and napkins, and a few other things. Since most kids are out of school next week, this will give them a fun project to work on for our big meal on Thursday! 🦃
