I just found some very useful items for both my kitchen and the new bookshelf in the living room. Let me show you what I got.

These adorable bowls will be great for both meal prep and baking. And I had to have this cute little dish with the ❤️ in the middle. I’m a hand towel girl, constantly using them in the kitchen 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I wanted to bring some moody lighting at night into the bookshelf so look how cute this lamp is. Did I mention it’s rechargeable? And this is the perfect little globe to put in here with all my books. Oh, and I couldn’t forget about the last little guy. That heart dish is going by my kitchen sink so I can put my scrub brush in it.

It’s chilly here in the south and I’m pulling out my winter quilt topper. It’s very thin, cozy and reversible. Oh, and it’s made from cotton.

I love it when the light is shining in through the windows. The trees are becoming bare and there is a crispness in the air. We don’t get snow here but I grew up in it. Miss is sometimes. The fire is lit in our living room and this quilt would be so pretty on the back of the sofa too. How are you enjoying January so far? ❤️

This I can get behind. Have you heard the good news? I feel like I’m one of the OG’s in cooking and baking nutrient dense food here on the web, well, other than Sally Fallon. I’ve been at this lifestyle for over 15 years. Full fat milk that’s straight from the farmer, grass-fed meats, farm raised eggs from my coop, no seed oils, fruits and veggies from my garden and I’ve saved the bottom of the pyramid for last….

Yes, whole grains aka fresh milled flour are so good for us. I’ve been telling people this for years and they just look at me like I live in the stone ages. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Get ready folks to clean up your diets! The eating out is what packs the inflammation and weight on for me so I’ve been limiting it. I feel so much better and less puffy when I cook at home. I challenge you to do the same. Let’s slow down and gather around the table with your family. You don’t need weight loss shots, you just need real food. Bye bye SAD. 🙌🏻 Thank you @robertfkennedyjr!

It’s January, so throw away the resolutions - they aren’t practical anyways haha. Every year, I like to REFLECT on the previous year, REMOVE what is not serving me well, RE-FOCUS and RENEW my mind. I also challenge myself to start a new project or hobby. Here’s to living an intentional

I already eat clean and cook from scratch but I need to get better at eating out 🥴. The food at restaurants just isn’t good for us. My blog was created back in 2014 to share with others how to live a simple life and to help the younger ones not do what I used to when I was their age. Why is everyone rushing to take down their Christm

Why is everyone rushing to take down their Christmas? Did you know other countries don’t even start celebrating Christmas until Christmas Eve? I think we have it all wrong here in America 🤷🏼‍♀️. I believe that is due to all the marketing and ads for business. You do whatever you choose to do but it’s something to think about for this Christmas in 2026. I did an Advent study over on my blog the entire month of December. Feel free to go back and look at it or save it for later this year.

I’m in the South and it’s been such wonderful cold weather. I’m soaking up all the coziness and even our doggies are enjoying the fires. Spring and the heat of Summer will be here before we know it haha.

We rush all year long - spend January as a month to slow down. Seriously, what else are we doing this month? I’m still baking bread and enjoying the winter season. Besides, my father-in-law was sick since Thanksgiving so we didn’t have a lot time (or felt like it) to celebrate the normal Christmas festivities. He ended up passing away on 12/21 and his ultimate gift was that he got to spend Christmas with Jesus. Today, would’ve been our weekend to have him at our house. There’s 5 kids and we took turns every 5th weekend at our homes. I plan to spend this weekend in memory of my father-in-law. ❤️

Celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas! I’ve often w

Celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas! I’ve often wondered if we are celebrating this wonderful time of the year all wrong here in the USA. Other countries do not decorate their tree until Christmas Eve. They also celebrate the season with plays, gathering at homes and other festivities in their town. This lasts through January 6th. I feel like we have such a hype leading up to the 25th of December and then everyone rushes to put up all of their Christmas treasures. ❤️

We went and saw “It’s a Wonderful Live” a few weeks ago at our local theatre, @icehouse.theatre in our little town. I love local theaters and supporting them. It was a beautiful play. They also had an amazing Christmas village all set up. I was in awe with all the details. Go check and see if you have a little theatre in your town and go support them. i’m choosing to continue to celebrate the One who came to save us! ✨

Merry Christmas everyone! Our Savior ✨ is Born! We are missing Billy’s dad today but rejoicing knowing that he’s with Jesus. Today isn’t about the presents, but being present while you are with your families. Love on your people every day (not just during Christmas time). We only get one life on this earth. Know God and spend time with him daily as well. HE sent his son to come and save us and I’m forever grateful for that. ❤️

Here’s a glimpse of our simple cottage Christmas. I didn’t decorate with all of my decor this year. Just wasn’t into it as much. I spent more time baking and with our family and that was more important. Christmas blessings from my family to yours!
