Happy Veteran’s 🇺🇸 Day to all the amazing men and women who have given their life and fought for our freedom. One of my favorite days of the year! They honestly deserve more than one day. My dad (on the left) and my uncle (on the right) were so blessed to be in Vietnam 🇻🇳 together.

My dad served two tours in Vietnam + 20 years in the US Army. My uncle served in the US Air Force as a pilot over there. They both loved our country so much! I sure miss you both! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

Thank of veteran if you see them out and about. They usually are proud and wear a ball cap signifying what branch of service they were in. I always try to go out of my way to thank them.

I can’t believe we are nearing the end of Octobe

I can’t believe we are nearing the end of October 🍂. I love this time of year 🍁. I’m soaking up the last bit of my Fall decor. It’s bittersweet but I’ll be getting all my Christmas out in a week or so. I am getting excited for all the twinkle lights and the magic the holiday brings. For now, I’ll still be here enjoying all the Fall things. 🎃

Welcome to our simple southern porch. The weather is perfect here and I’m loving having my windows open.

I can’t believe we are halfway through October and I haven’t shared my porch all decorated for Fall 🍁 so here we go…enjoy!

P.S. We haven’t had a/c all week and I am so thankful it’s not summer haha. Should be fixed tomorrow. 🙏🏻

We came home from a trip last night to the A/C not

We came home from a trip last night to the A/C not working. One could get mad and complain about it being hot and sticky. Mind you, I live in the South 🥴. We opened up all the windows and turned on the ceiling fans. Boy, I think that was the best night’s sleep I had in a while.

We need fresh air from outside. Our homes have become so sterile with how tight they are built and the a/c and heat are constantly running. We woke up to 60 degree weather breezing in and I jumped right up and just thanked God for the cool night. It’s 82 right now, all the windows are still open and I’m so thankful that it’s nice out right now. The candles are Iit and it just feels so cozy in the house right now. Those of you up north probably already appreciate this nice change from Summer (or maybe not haha). I love our new season of Autumn! I love the slowness that it gives me and I love this fresh air. Get outside as much as you can or sleep with your windows open occasionally. It will truly do the body some good.

Locals, head out to @renningersmountdorafl today and tomorrow. It’s their annual “Fall in the Field’. 🍁 It’s a wonderful event filled with antiques and all things Fall. I look forward to seeing Julie every year. I think we decided she and her family have been coming down here from Ohio for the last 18 years. I may have missed one or two years but it’s become a tradition for me to go. They have the most beautiful heirloom pumpkins, sweet Annie and Bittersweet! We hugged each other after I checked out and we both said, “see you next year”! 🧡
