Are you obsessed with handmade wood spoons, spatulas, spurtle’s, bowls..you name it? 🙋🏼‍♀️ I love supporting local artisans. When I travel, I am always picking up some spoon or something. They have so much beautiful craftsmanship.

I love a new season, especially when I get to swap out my quilts. I probably have more than the average person but I’ve been married almost 30 years haha. That’s a lot of time to do some collecting.

We love our sleep number bed but we don’t like the cost of the sheets. We have two twins, which makes it really easy so we don’t hog each other‘s covers. 😂 Plus, twin sheets are way cheaper than a set of king size.
.
Another tip I like to do is pull pillows from other rooms in my house. I like to buy pillow forms and just buy pillow covers to slip over them. So convenient and easier to store.

My sweet Boone is pretty much blind. His hearing is also going. He’s almost 14 but still plays like he’s 2 years old.

Every single time I make anything with my flour, he’s right under my feet. He knows the smell of dough rising and bread baking. That’s really the only sense he still has. I’ve been feeding Boone baked goods with my fresh milled flour since he was very young.
.
He’s so sweet and never complains when he runs into things. I love giving all the doggies the same nutrition I give our family. Have you started milling your own flour yet?

What is the two most comforting things you can think of? An old quilt and a warm loaf of fresh milled sourdough bread. Yep, 2 of my favorite things.

I have quilts all over my house and love to snuggle up under them. Some are new, some are old. I found some really fun quilt stencils recently and can’t wait to use them this year when I’m making bread.

Now, I’m ready to slice into this loaf! 🍞
It’s cold, even here in the south. We’ve been enjoying our fireplace for weeks now and I’m really loving the slow cozy days. Stay warm friends!
